High Heaven
A hint of mint, cumin, and sea salt adds a savory, aromatic depth, making the High Heaven a perfect balance of sweet, spicy, and tangy flavors. Whether served with vodka for a spirited twist or enjoyed as a mocktail, this drink is a vibrant treat for adventurous palates.
2 large cans or 1 liter bottle of pineapple juice
3 teaspoons of fresh ginger - chopped
2 teaspoons of green chile - chopped
2 teaspoons of fresh mint - chopped
1 teaspoon of sea salt
1 teaspoon of ground cumin
1 cup vodka (optional)
Prepare the flavor infusion:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the fresh ginger, green chile, fresh mint, sea salt, and ground cumin.
Use a muddler or the back of a spoon to gently mash the ingredients together, releasing their flavors.
Mix the base:
Pour the pineapple juice into the bowl with the muddled mixture. Stir well to combine.
Let the mixture sit for 5–10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
Strain:
For a smooth drink, strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a large pitcher.
Add vodka (optional):
Stir in the vodka for a boozy twist. If serving non-alcoholic, omit this step.
Serve:
Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the cocktail over the ice. If serving without ice, pre-chill the drink mixture in the refrigerator for 4-5 hours.
Garnish and enjoy:
Garnish each glass with a sprinkle of cumin. For added flair, you may also use a sprig of mint or a pineapple wedge. Serve immediately and enjoy the spicy, tangy, and refreshing flavors!
